How the Business Grows

Based on the current Offer Architecture (the Trace PPE Pathway: know the route → move the product → regain control → build capability), Trace grows through two entry points leading to deeper engagement:

  1. Startup path: Route Finder (£395) → Certification Project (£350–£1,500 by scope) → Technical Ownership (£750–£2,500+/mo)
  2. Established business path: Range Review (£150–£350/product) → Technical Ownership (£750–£2,500+/mo)

A third, urgency-driven entry point sits alongside these: Issue Support (£450–£950 by issue type) for brands hitting a live problem — a stuck test, certification nonconformity, marketplace challenge, or supplier-document failure — outside either planned path. Issue Support typically resolves into Certification Project, Range Review, or Technical Ownership once the immediate problem is controlled.

Both planned paths lead toward Technical Ownership, the highest recurring-revenue relationship. Team Training (£750–£3,500) runs alongside any path as a capability-building add-on rather than a sequential step.

Funnel Architecture

Awareness → Route Finder / Range Review / Issue Support (entry point) → Certification Project (execution) → Technical Ownership (ongoing) → Team Training (capability, runs in parallel)

The diagnostic entry points (Route Finder, Range Review) are priced to be low-commitment decisions. Issue Support is priced by problem severity rather than as a diagnostic. All three generate the information and trust that makes the client want to continue with Trace for execution and, eventually, ongoing responsibility.

Leverage Points

  • Full-chain experience creates trust that specialists in only one part of the process cannot match
  • Fixed-fee diagnostics and defined-scope issue pricing lower the barrier to first engagement, including urgent ones
  • Technical Ownership model creates predictable recurring revenue, priced by responsibility and product volume rather than hours
  • Subsequent-product pricing (lower than first product, in both Certification Project and Range Review) encourages clients to bring their full range
  • Standards knowledge across 10 PPE categories, with motorcycle protective apparel as master specialism, means one client relationship can cover multiple product lines
  • PPE Buyer & Enforcement Context (see Ppe Buyer And Enforcement Context) is the underlying reason Issue Support and Range Review convert — brands that can't quickly connect product, evidence, and certificate face real commercial exposure, not hypothetical risk
